Rants

A lot's been going on recently aside from me finally started working out regularly. Here's a small recap of what's been happening:

  • I got yet another new device to play with! This time it's the Galaxy Z Fold 8. In my defense getting this pricey toy of technology perfectly solved my gripes with the regular foldable format - too tall to handle with one hand. The wider form factor allows me to handle the folded phone more comfortably, and now I don't have to carry an extra device for a bigger screen. I sold my Galaxy S26 and Redmi K Pad as a result. I don't use the tablet enough and have been letting it collect dust in the corner. The Z fold 8 is very convenient in contrast: I can just unfold anytime I want whenever a bigger screen is desired, and folds into a slab when I want to keep it compact.
  • I extended my contract this year. I will eventually pick up my CCNA study again before the next contract renewal, I want more bargaining power.
  • You may or may not notice the domain/URL has changed yet again. I figured something like pwnmylogs while is very cool sounding, it isn't the most memorable and is quite long. I pondered on that for an afternoon and decided to snatch an even shorter domain that does match my personality in real life. And that comes DUH. The real expression I use to state the obvious to clueless people and friends. Call it an impulsive buy, but this is likely the coolest domain yet I've ever owned in my life, I also extended 9 years in advance to make sure I don't forget to renew.
  • Still struggling with interpersonal relationships. Specifically with people I have interest in. I seemingly pour my heart more than people offer to win them over. I am not sure why this pattern persists, but this is actually making me lose potential friends. I reckon I may need to seek help from a professional instead of flopping again and again.
  • This month marks the first time ever I donated blood! I actually registered for blood donation 9~10 years ago while I was still in high school, but I chickened out in the last minute. Last Sunday I thought to myself, the company donation day is coming up next month, might as well make one first and create my donator account in the local HK Blood app in advance. I donated 350ml, the experience was scary but not too painful. I also got a set of eating utensils and a small pin as a first time donor. The nurse told me the next earliest date I can donate is December, so I can't attend the blood donation in my company next month. I also lost my first timer pin on the way home 🫠
